The transition process is expected to take up 10 years, although authorities are positive that terms will be shortened thanks to the support provided by the French Government.

According to what Alkin Saucedo, Sub-Director of National Public Services Authority Radio and Television, the DTT project will be carried out in four stages. The first stage includes the cities of Panama and Colón; the second one includes central provinces; the third includes provinces of Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro; and the fourth stage includes the province of Darién.
